According to investigative journalist Sara Carter, several FBI crooks could soon be headed to the slammer. Listen to the full interview above.
“There is so much that the American public still doesn’t know,” Carter told The Todd Starnes Show. “What we have seen is some of the most egregious abuse of power” and “the weaponization of both our intelligence and law enforcement community.”
Carter said she “reported over a year ago that there was concern about [Lieutenant General Michael Flynn’s] 302s,” – forms used to track and summarize the interviews of staffers in intelligence agencies. There have long been questions on whether “some of those reports had been altered,” Carter said.
“Changing and falsifying a report in an effort to spy on someone is an incredibly egregious act,” Carter said. “It really taints the entire FBI.”
Carter describes herself as an “international award-winning investigative reporter” covering national security, terrorism and immigration. She told Starnes that her stories are based on “solid evidence” collected from both Congress and the U.S. Attorney General’s office. Reporting on various FBI controversies for over a year now, Carter said her investigative articles always stick to the facts: “I’ve never had anyone in law enforcement say ‘That’s false!’”
While the “incredibly damning” evidence continues to build, Carter said former FBI and CIA leaders are terrified “as they realize that the gig is up.”
“We have to have faith that our law enforcement officers are not operating as political hacks,” she told Starnes. “The people that were in charge of those agencies … and others that played a role in this operation … are terrified now.”
They are “trying to reassure themselves that nobody is going to get into trouble,” Carter stated.
Carter says corruption in the U.S. intelligence community runs deep, pointing to former FBI agent Peter Strzok who “abused his position” and the National Security Council staff working against President Donald Trump even within the White House.
