Michael Bloomberg’s campaign team got triggered after President Trump suggested their candidate requested a box to stand on during Democrat debates — presumably to see over the microphone.
“Mini Mike is now negotiating both to get on the Democrat Primary debate stage, and to have the right to stand on boxes, or a lift, during the debates. This is sometimes done, but really not fair,” the president wrote on Twitter.
The president continued to taunt the five-foot-eight-ish politician during an interview with Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity.
“I just think of little. Now he wants a box for the debates to stand on. Okay, it’s okay, there’s nothing wrong. You could be short, why should he get a box to stand on, OK? He wants a box for the debates,” Trump said during a short snippet broadcast on Fox & Friends.
The Bloomberg campaign was just a tiny bit upset by that remark. Well, maybe just a teesny-bit. A smidge.
“The president is lying. He is a pathological liar who lies about everything: his fake hair, his obesity, and his spray-on tan,” campaign spokesperson Julie Wood told reporters.
And Bloomberg is five-foot-eight and has a short temper — among other things.
