Many on the left responded to a video of the speech posted by the Family Research Council on Twitter calling Starnes “ignorant”, and telling Starnes to recheck his facts.

Is Todd really that ignorant about America’s founding documents? Our Constitution says nothing about God other than to make sure that religion has no say in our government. The Declaration was using God as a political prop, much like right-wing bigots do today.
