Todd Starnes Show – Feb 7

THE THIRD HOUR OF THE TODD STARNES SHOW

2:05pm – Shut Down? Lawmakers are running out of time to come up with a solution for hundreds of thousands of young, undocumented immigrants living in the U.S. In September 2017, the White House officially announced its plan to phase out the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. This Obama-era directive staved off immediate deportation for certain immigrants who were brought into the U.S. illegally as minors. As the March 5 deadline looms for the so-called Dreamers, President Trump has promised to provide legal status for both DACA recipients and DACA-eligible immigrants – but only if certain demands are met. Trump said on Tuesday he supports a government shutdown if Democrats won’t agree to tighten immigration laws, undercutting ongoing bipartisan negotiations on Capitol Hill. The comment, which came during a White House meeting on the violent MS-13 gang, was not well received in the room. Question: Would you support a shut down over Immigration? 888-788-9910

2:30pm- Banned! Ken Ham, the founder of the popular Creation Museum and Ark Encounter, was disinvited from speaking on the public university campus after an ugly campaign of bullying by LGBT activists. Guest: Ken Ham, president and founder of Answers in Genesis (AiG)

THE SECOND HOUR OF THE TODD STARNES SHOW

1:05pm- Guest: Matt Schlapp, American Conservative Union chairman

1:30pm- Statue Removal in NM! Some civil liberties advocates are concerned about a Ten Commandments monument in a New Mexico city hall and the city’s sponsorship of last month’s Martin Luther King Jr. event because of religious overtones. Members of the Freedom From Religion Foundation said the monument and the King event in Hobbs violate the separation of church and state, the Hobbs News-Sun report s. City Attorney Mike Stone says Hobbs will evaluate the complaints. During a recent meeting, Hobbs resident and foundation member Jeremy Wood asked the Hobbs City Commission to remove the Ten Commandments monument outside City Hall. Wood pointed to court cases forcing city governments to remove similar monuments. “Politicians in towns like Hobbs have used public resources to promote their own religious beliefs and, in doing so, have denied their most vulnerable constituents their 1st and 14th Amendment rights,” Wood said. He said the city must decide whether it will be a “safe haven for ethnic and religious nationalists, which puts the religion of its majority population above the law.” Guest: Mike Berry, First Liberty attorney

THE FIRST HOUR OF THE TODD STARNES SHOW

12:05pm- The Texts Keep Coming! Newly revealed text messages between FBI paramours Peter Strzok and Lisa Page include an exchange about preparing talking points for then-FBI Director James Comey to give to President Obama, who wanted “to know everything we’re doing.” The message, from Page to Strzok, was among thousands of texts between the lovers reviewed by Fox News. The pair both worked at one point for Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe of alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Page wrote to Strzok on Sept. 2, 2016, about prepping Comey because “potus wants to know everything we’re doing.” According to a newly released Senate report, this text raises questions about Obama’s personal involvement in the Clinton email investigation.

12:20pm- Guest: Jake Gibson, DOJ producer for Fox news.

12:30pm- Guest: Congressman Andy Biggs ( R-AZ)
