In December, the economy added 148,000 jobs, according to Labor Department figures released Friday. Plus: The Dow races to 25k for the FIRST time & the Black Unemployment rate is the lowest in 17 years!! With all that winning being had what does the MSM cover? Trump’s mental state!
12:20pm- Fake News! The author of a scathing new book about President Trump said on Friday that the president’s attempt to block its publication would not only help with sales but would also confirm the book’s key finding: Mr. Trump is unfit for office. Speaking on the “Today” show, Michael Wolff, the author of “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” called the administration’s attempt to block the book “extraordinary” and dismissed the president’s criticisms of him out of hand. “My credibility is being questioned by a man who has less credibility than, perhaps, anyone who has ever walked on earth at this point,” Mr. Wolff said. In a tweet late on Thursday, Mr. Trump claimed that he had not authorized Mr. Wolff’s access to the White House (and in fact had turned him down) and that he had never spoken to the author for the book.

1:05pm- Ode To Slavery? Melvin Carter III, incoming mayor of Saint Paul, Minnesota, proclaimed the national anthem an “ode to slavery” during his inaugural address. Carter said he would approve of playing the national anthem, but only if “all” the verses were played, including the verse he insists proves the song celebrates slavery, Pioneer Press reported. “We cannot ignore the painful reminder, written into our anthem’s third verse, of just how deeply injustice is rooted in the American tradition. … Our national freedom song is an ode to slavery,” Carter said during his address. “This is the American paradox, passed from generation to generation, dating back to the noble group of rich, white, straight, male landowners who embedded into our founding principles a yearning for a set of God-given rights they sought to secure for only themselves,” the newly minted mayor continued.
1:30pm- DACA! President Donald Trump said Thursday that he’d ‘love to take care’ of Dreamers and believes that a ‘terrific’ solution can be worked out on a bipartisan basis. But the president insisted once again that an immigration deal must include funding for his border wall and the elimination of the visa lottery system. ‘Hopefully, everything is going to work out very well. We really want it to work out,’ Trump said. ‘We have to be careful because there’s a drug epidemic like the likes of which we’ve never seen in this country. We need protection. We need the wall. We need all of those things.’ The president told a group of Republican senators this afternoon that it’s his belief that their Democratic colleagues agree with him on border security measures. ‘Whether they’ll vote that way is another situation,’ he added.
