Brittney Griner: It’s a ‘Crime’ to Stop Men from Playing in Women’s Sports

WNBA star Brittney Griner, who was detained in Russia for cannabis possession, said it’s a “crime” to ban biological males from women’s sports.

Should men be able to compete in women's sports?

Griner answered the question during the first press conference back as a Phoenix Mercury player.

Virgil Walker, the executive director of operations for G3 Ministries and the co-host of the “Just Thinking” podcast, challenged Griner.

“If her voice is any indication and she feels strongly about it, let’s see her try out for an NBA team,” Walker said. “The WNBA exists because women’s physical attributes do not match men’s. Accepting male athletes into women’s sports destroys women’s sports.”

The Biden administration negotiated a prisoner swap with Moscow for notorious arms dealer Viktor Bout after Griner spent 10 months in Russia.

Several users on social media questioned if Griner is actually a woman.

“I am still not convinced that she is biologically female,” one woman said.

“That’s why Brittney is playing in the WNBA, he couldn’t cut it in the NBA,” another person said.
