And my God shall supply all your need . . . Philippians 4:19
There’s not a tech-smart gene in my body. Not one. Ask me to do anything computer related and there’s a total disconnect. So now you can understand how funny it was that my daughter-in-law called to ask if I knew how to fix a problem with her computer and her printer. The printer said the two were connected, but the computer said the printer was offline. I’d had the same problem a few months before. In a moment of epic proportions, I’d somehow managed to fix mine with the help of Google instructions.
We tried several things on her computer, including more Google instructions. Neither of us completely understood what it told us to do. Finally, she said, “I’m not sure how we did it, but it’s working.”
I told my daughter-in-law it was funny that she was calling about her printer, because I hadn’t been able to use mine for weeks. I’d been waiting on my son to see what was wrong, but he’d been busy. She asked what was happening, and said, “I know how to fix that!” and soon I heard the beautiful sound of a page printing.
When I got off the phone, I started laughing. Just the day before, I’d sent a message to my prayer team explaining that I was having computer issues. I mentioned that I was crippled by the lack of my printer because I was on book deadline. I asked them to pray for a swift resolution. I never expected God would answer the way He did, and I still don’t understand exactly how we solved either problem.
Friends, maybe you’re looking for God to provide something that you need. Rest assured that God can and does answer our prayers—even if He has to send the answer by way of the blonde leading the blonde.
Father, thank you for always answering our prayers.
