BREAKING: All DC Airports on Ground Stop

DEVELOPING STORY: The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a ground stop at four major airports in the Washington, D.C. area. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced that no flights are landing or taking off at Ronald Reagan Washington National, Washington Dulles, Baltimore-Washington and Richmond International. The FAA said a strong chemical odor occurred at the Potomac TRACON (Terminal Radar Approach Control) facility in Warranton, Virginia, which sits roughly 50 miles outside of the nation’s capital. The facility helps manage airspace in the region outside of take-offs and departures. Click here to get breaking news alerts delivered to your inbox.
