JUST IN: MSNBC Yanks ‘Morning Joe’ Off Air

MSNBC has pulled its signature show, “Morning Joe,” off the air on the first day of the Republican National Convention over fears a guest or host might say something inappropriate about the attempted assassination of former President Trump. Click here to get Todd’s breaking news alerts.

A person familiar with the matter told CNN that the decision was made to avoid a scenario in which one of the show’s stable of two dozen-plus guests might make an inappropriate comment on live television that could be used to assail the program and network as a whole.

A very wise idea based on some of the heinous comments made by Democrats who are celebrating the attack. Click here for our coverage on that.

“Given the gravity and complexity of this unfolding story, NBC News, NBC News NOW and MSNBC have remained in rolling breaking news coverage since Saturday evening,” a spokesperson for NBCUniversal News Group said in a statement to CNN. “As we continue to cover this story into the week, the networks will continue to cross simulcast, alternating between NBC News, NBC News NOW and ‘MSNBC Reports,’ so there is one news feed covering this developing situation.” PRESIDENT TRUMP: Read this one book before the 2024 Presidential Election.
