I received this photo from Mike Gantz – of Stafford Kansas. “I just wanted to show you a couple of pictures from our middle school football team. American pride in Kansas! God and Country,” he said.  They are raising patriots at Stafford Middle School!

12:05pm- They Stood! Every player on both sides of the field stood during the national anthem ahead of Thursday night’s NFL game. Players, coaches and staff on the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears were all linked arm-in-arm, and some with hands on their hearts, as American country singer Tyler Farr sang. Cameras panning around Lambeau Field in Wisconsin showed fans locking arms with one another as well. Some could be seen waving American flags while others were saluting the large one being stretched out over the field. (Audio)

12:20pm- Open/Calls/Audio/Question: Will you watch the games this weekend? 888-788-9910

12:30pm- No Thank you! A librarian in Cambridge has some strong words for First Lady Melania Trump, who sent bundles of children’s books to libraries around the country this month: No thanks. Cambridgeport Elementary School librarian Liz Phipps Soeiro, in a lengthy open letter to the wife of President Donald Trump, said she was thankful for the gesture, and notes that it “must have been expensive” to ship them all that way. The White House notes that, to celebrate National Read a Book Day, it worked “with the Department of Education to identify schools with programs that have achieved high standards of excellence,” then shipped ten copies of works by Dr. Seuss to one school in each of the 50 states. But all thanks aside, Soeiro writes, her school doesn’t want them. “[W]e will not be keeping the titles for our collection,” she wrote. First lady Melania Trump fired back this morning.  Stephanie Grisham, director of communications for the first lady’s office, said in a statement to Fox News that the response was “unfortunate,” and Mrs. Trump wanted to use her platform “to help as many children as she can.”  “She has demonstrated this in both actions and words since her husband took office, and sending books to children across the country is but one example,” she said. “To turn the gesture of sending young students some books into something divisive is unfortunate, but the First Lady remains committed to her efforts on behalf of children everywhere.” Question: Was the school wrong? 888-788-9910

12:50pm- Big Win! Late Thursday, the Court of Appeals for the Ninth District of Texas decided in favor of the Kountze Cheerleaders in the case of Matthews v.
