DEVELOPING STORY: A mass casualty incident has been declared at a nursing home in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Multiple people were injured at a number of people were trapped after an explosion at the Silver Lake Nursing Home. Authorities believe a gas leak may have caused the blast. “I’ve been briefed on the incident at Silver Lake Nursing Home in Bucks County, and my Administration is in contact with local officials and first responders on the ground,” Gov. Josh Shapiro said in a statement on X. “The scene is still active, and folks nearby should follow the direction of local authorities. Please join Lori and me in praying for the Bristol community.”
A portion of the building has collapsed and there is significant damage to the remaining structure.
