New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that anyone who voted for the Republican ticket was anti-woman and anti-American.
President Joe Biden called Republicans garbage.
And Vice President Kamala Harris echoed accusations that President Trump was Hitler and his supporters were Nazis.
This sort of language is not just dehumanizing, but it’s also dangerous. An untold number of Trump supporters have been attacked – one man had his teeth knocked out while he was grocery shopping. He was wearing a red MAGA hat.
And former President Trump survived not one, but two assassination attempts. One of the gunmen defended his actions by citing rhetoric coming from Democrats.
The Democrats actually believe that those who disagree with their ideology should be silenced and removed from the public square. To borrow a phrase from Gov. Hochul – that’s just un-American.
