California could be facing a statewide curfew, according to Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom.
“We also are considering – full disclosure – little bit of a preview – the notion of a curfew,” the governor announced Monday.
Newsom said he was taking at look at three studies from France, Germany and Saudi Arabia related to the efficacy of statewide curfews.
Newsom also announced that most of the state will revert back to the most restrictive tier, even as he considers more stringent measures like curfews.
“We are sounding the alarm,” Newsom said in a statement. “California is experiencing the fastest increase in cases we have seen yet – faster than what we experienced at the outset of the pandemic or even this summer. The spread of COVID-19, if left unchecked, could quickly overwhelm our health care system and lead to catastrophic outcomes.”
The governor’s rollback on the state’s reopening plan comes less than two weeks before Thanksgiving. Citizens who travel out of state are advised to self-quarantine for 14 days.
And Californians are also being told to avoid large gatherings on Turkey Day.
Newsom fessed up to violating his own policies when he attended a friend’s birthday party outdoors at the famed French Laundry restaurant in Napa Valley.
The governor’s China Virus policies are sounding more and more like martial law.
So what did Gov. Newsom just do?

– 40/58 CA counties just moved backwards, some fell multiple tiers.
– Every single county in SoCal is now in the most restrictive “purple” tier, including OC & Ventura.
– This closes indoor dining, gyms, etc effective immediately. @FOXLA pic.twitter.com/eWcltowAUO
