Parents are outraged after a Detroit-area school district canceled the annual Halloween parade.

Children at Miller Elementary School will not be allowed to parade in their Halloween costumes — ending a 30-year tradition.

The school district said they wanted to honor all families — including those that do not celebrate Halloween, Fox 2 in Detroit reported.

“For whatever reason it’s OK that they don’t celebrate Halloween. It’s not wrong not celebrating it, but it’s wrong forcing the ones that do celebrate it not to,” said Megan Talmadge, a parent of a kindergarten student.
