“We will be closed Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” read a sign on the front door.
They also posted a Bible verse: “The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sin will be preached in his name. Luke 24:46-47).”
“We’ve been doing it for at least 11 years,” said Tamisha Martin, the manager of the KFC/Taco Bell. “Our franchise owner is a Christian and it makes me feel great that we can spend Easter Sunday at church and with our families.”
Jenn Fitz is one of their customers — and she also happens to be one of my readers. She sent me a photograph of the sign on the front door.
“Our customers love it,” Martin said. “We’re mostly a church-going town.”
It’s nice to know there’s a company that puts faith and family first!
