“It’s an unusual example…and another example of why we love Donald Trump,” Hurt said, adding that’s it’s an incredible distraction from healthcare. “I don’t know how they go forward from here.” “There is no limit to” what Mueller, the special prosecutor is looking at. “There is nobody on earth that can withstand the scrutiny of a special prosecutor.” Hurt doesn’t think Trump is going to fire Sessions, but adds he wishes Sessions didn’t recuse himself.
1:05 PM Taking Back the Rainbow! Many thousands of years before the “gay” movement claimed the rainbow as its emblem, God fashioned the brilliantly colored banner of light and painted it across the sky as a beautiful symbol of his enduring covenant with mankind. Six millennia later, bare-skinned “gay” men would strut their stuff on parade floats wearing nothing but rainbow Speedos, tutu skirts and body paint, celebrating their homosexual “pride” by proudly displaying the spectrum through America’s public streets. Now, after decades of witnessing the colors splashed across “gay” parades, flags, bumper stickers and even the White House in 2015, one prominent Christian has announced his plan to “take back the rainbow.”
1:20 PM Transgender Kit! A Minnesota Department of Education advisory council voted to approve a new toolkit for “Safe and Supportive Schools for Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Students” in front of a room of more than 200 opponents and advocates of LGBTQ issues Wednesday. The motion was met with cheers from advocates for transgender students, led by OutFront Minnesota and its allies, who wore purple at the gathering at the department’s offices in Roseville. Opponents of the toolkit, led by the Minnesota Family Council, a conservative Christian coalition, wore red. The toolkit, approved by the School Safety Technical Assistance Council, is a nonbinding guide with information about providing welcoming environments for all students and guidelines for school officials to support transgender and gender-nonconforming students.
1:30 PM No More Kids! We’ve all heard of ways to reduce our carbon footprint: biking to work, eating less meat, recycling. But there’s another way to help the climate. A recent study from Lund University in Sweden shows that the biggest way to reduce climate change is to have fewer children. “I knew this was a sensitive topic to bring up,” says study co-author Kimberly Nicholas on NPR’s Morning Edition. “Certainly it’s not my place as a scientist to dictate choices for other people. But I do think it is my place to do the analysis and report it fairly.” The study concludes that four high-impact ways to reduce CO2 gas emissions include having fewer children, living without a car, avoiding airplane travel and eating a vegetarian diet. By the numbers, any of these lifestyle changes drastically reduces carbon emissions compared to more common practices like recycling, using energy-efficient light bulbs and line-drying clothes. 2:05 PM Last Drop of Juice? The Nevada Board of Parole is going decide today whether O.J. Simpson gets released from prison, after serving more than eight years for his role in taking sports memorabilia from two men in a Las Vegas hotel room in 2007. Former football star could be released from prison as early as October 1st Simpson, a NFL running back during the 1970s who was acquitted of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman in 1995, was found guilty in 2008 of 12 criminal counts, including assault, burglary, coercion, kidnapping and robbery, all with use of a deadly weapon. He was sentenced to serve between nine and 33 years at the Lovelock Correctional Center, a medium-security prison, about 90 miles northeast of Reno. At 70, Simpson is once again in the national spotlight. He is set to appear from prison via video conference Thursday at 1 p.m. E.T., before four members of the seven-person parole board. They are expected to release a decision shortly after.

Blocked! Despite claims to the contrary, the University of California, Berkeley appears to have no interest in supporting the right to free speech, as long as that speech is coming from a conservative. On Wednesday, the university informed the Young America’s Foundation and the Berkeley College Republicans that the school would not be hosting a speech from conservative Ben Shapiro that was scheduled for Sept 14.
