Trump May Drain the Swamp, but he still has to deal with the Snakes

By Todd Starnes

I’ve given this a lot of thought and I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s time for House Speaker Paul Ryan to resign.

There’s really no other way. Republicans need bold, conservative leadership.

And Speaker Ryan’s handling of this Obamcare fiasco demonstrates he is neither bold nor conservative.

Case in point:

The Washington Post reports Speaker Ryan got down on one knee and begged Congressman Don Young to vote for his Ryancare plan.

That’s not leadership. That’s groveling.

Republicans have had seven years to come up with a plan to repeal and replace Obamacare. Seven years.

We did not ask for Obamacare 2.0. We did not ask for Ryancare.

We wanted — demanded – Repeal and Replace. The Freedom Caucus got that. They were the only ones who got that.

But instead of blaming Speaker Ryan — President Trump blamed Conservatives. He’s got the wrong villain, folks.

The President was bamboozled by Speaker Ryan.

And that proves my point — even if you drain the swamp – you’ve still got to contend with a mess of vipers and snakes.
