Trump Says Super Bowl Halftime Show was ‘Slap in Face’ to Americans
Freedom-loving patriots across the country erupted in outrage Sunday night following the Super Bowl Halftime Show, blasting headliner Bad Bunny’s crude and profane performance that included the singer grabbing his crotch multiple times as well as two men grinding on each other. And the entire performance was in Spanish.
“At first I thought my remote control got stuck on Telemundo, but I quickly realized that I was watching the Super Bowl,” said Newsmax television host and podcaster Todd Starnes. “Bad Bunny was scratching his private parts and hollering in Spanish. I think he was begging someone to bring him some cream or an ointment.”
Within minutes of the halftime spectacle, social media lit up with complaints from parents, faith leaders, and longtime football fans who said the performance crossed a line—especially for an event watched by millions of families and children.
“It was clear to me that Roger Goodell and the NFL were giving the American people a giant middle finger – in Spanish,” Starnes said.
President Donald Trump did not mince words, issuing a blistering statement that quickly went viral among conservative commentators and grassroots activists.
“The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER! It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence. Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World. This ‘Show’ is just a ‘slap in the face’ to our Country, which is setting new standards and records every single day — including the Best Stock Market and 401(k)s in History! There is nothing inspirational about this mess of a Halftime Show and watch, it will get great reviews from the Fake News Media, because they haven’t got a clue of what is going on in the REAL WORLD — And, by the way, the NFL should immediately replace its ridiculous new Kickoff Rule.”
Trump’s comments echoed a broader frustration among conservatives who argue that the NFL has abandoned mainstream American values in favor of shock value and cultural pandering.
“Illegal aliens and Latin hookers twerking at the SuperBowl,” wrote investigative journalist Laura Loomer on X. “Not a single white person or English translation at the Super Bowl.”
Conservative commentators pointed out that the NFL has repeatedly promised to “listen to fans” while continuing to book halftime acts that alienate large portions of its audience.
“The league keeps telling us it wants to grow the game,” said a conservative media strategist. “But then they deliver a halftime show that half the country finds offensive or incomprehensible. That’s not growth—that’s arrogance.”
Parents, in particular, said the visual elements and choreography were inappropriate for a broadcast marketed as family-friendly.
“This isn’t about music preferences,” one mother wrote online. “It’s about basic standards. If my kids can’t watch halftime without me scrambling for the remote, something has gone seriously wrong.”
Loomer suggested that Immigration and Customs Enforcement should’ve raided the football stadium. Ironically, immediately after Bad Bunny’s performance, a pro-ICE television commercial aired.
Somebody really should get Mr. Bunny some ointment.
