Students at Truett McConnell University in Georgia took a break from their studies to pray for the nation. They gathered Monday afternoon on the front lawn of the university.
It was an idea that originated in a campus Bible study.
“Our students are passionate about the election,” said Dr. John Yarbrough, the university’s director of public policy. “For most of them it will be their first time to vote in a presidential election.”
Yarbrough said the students understand that their generation will be impacted for decades by the results of the presidential race.
“They also recognized that America must experience a revival, great awakening,” he said. “They gathered to pray for America and to pray for the election that will determine the direction of America for the rest of their lives.”
Folks, be sure to leave a note on the university’s Facebook page — let them know how much you appreciate their work and ministry. There are not too many Conservative Christian schools in America! I’m so glad Truett McConnell is built on a Firm Foundation!
