Peanut the Squirrel was an Instagram star. He had nearly 700,000 followers and was fond of wearing a tiny cowboy hat.
Peanut was killed last week – assassinated by a squad of government agents in New York State.
Mark Longo was Peanut’s owner. He rescued the squirrel some seven years ago – along with a raccoon named Fred.

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation raided Mr. Longo’s home. 10 armed agents tore the house apart.
They say it’s illegal for civilians to own a wild animal. It turns out that wild animals are actually the property of the state.
So, illegal squirrels are not tolerated in the Empire State, but they roll out the red carpet for illegal aliens.
They said the critters had to be put down because they had to be tested for rabies. It’s a good thing Mr. Longo didn’t have the sniffles – otherwise – they might’ve put him out of his misery, too.
Washington Post writer Jen Rubin called Peanut a “MAGA squirrel” and said he deserved to die.
Do you really want to live in a nation where the government can barge into your home at kill your pets? That’s just nuts.
First, they came for our cats, but I said nothing because I’m not a fan of felines. Then, they came for our dogs, and I did nothing because I’m allergic to canines. And then they came for our squirrels and raccoons.
We must rise up on Election Day and vote for the candidate who will save America’s pets. That man is Donald Trump. We must avenge Peanut and Fred. God speed, our furry friends.
