Critics are calling President Biden’s State of the Union Address an unprecedented and utter disgrace.
The president was filled with rage – and more than likely – a hefty dose of prescribed drugs.
It was one of the most partisan speeches in American history. At times rambling. At times incoherent. Much of it delivered in a high decibel scream. It was a “Get off my lawn” screed.
In less than 90 minutes President Biden goaded Republican lawmakers into a fight, personally threatened the Supreme Court justices to their face and dismissed the murder of Laken Riley at the hands of an illegal immigrant.
Speaker Johnson should have gotten from his chair, ripped up the speech and walked out of the House Chamber – along with every Republican in the audience.
But that would require courage that our current crop of lawmakers simply does not possess.
By the way, President Biden could not even say Riley’s name. He called her Lincoln Riley. That’s the name of the head football coach of the USC Trojans – he’s still alive.
