At least 14 students and one teacher were killed after an “active shooter” incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, said Texas Gov. Greg Abbott Tuesday.
The governor said the suspected shooter, 18, identified as Salvador Ramos is dead.
The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District asked people to stay away from the area.
“There is an active shooter at Robb Elementary,” the school district said on Twitter. “Law enforcement is on site. Your cooperation is needed at this time by not visiting the campus. As soon as more information is gathered it will be shared.”
“Parents are asked to pick up students at the regular dismissal times at the child’s campus. There will be no bus transportation. Officers will be on site to escort students to the parents cars,” the district added. “Parents please be patient as lines will be long.”

On phone with friends in Uvalde (I do not represent) & neighboring communities (I do represent). What we are still discovering about what happened is the face of evil and unspeakably horrific. God be with all involved.
