UPDATE: At least two people are dead and nine others were injured, police say. Authorities say an elderly driver lost control and crashed into the outdoor dining area of the restaurant. They say it was an accident.
DC Fire & EMS is on the scene after a car drove into an outdoor seating area outside the Parthenon Restaurant & Chevy Chase Lounge in Washington D.C. Friday afternoon.
According to officials, they are triaging at least 9 patients at the Greek restaurant in the 5500 block of Connecticut Avenue NW and are calling it a “mass casualty” incident.
