“The turbulence sent some passengers flying out of their seats and at least one hit the ceiling,” Hawaii News Now reports.
A passenger on board posted video of the aftermath and reported that one person had a broken neck. Others were seen bleeding from the head and face.
A photo taken inside the cabin shows damage to a ceiling panel and video shows passengers being rushed into a nearby hospital.
Paramedics and emergency medical technicians treated passengers — ranging in age from 14 months to adults — for a long list of injuries, including serious head injuries, cuts, bruises and loss of consciousness.
