BULLETIN: Nashville Airport Evacuated; Noxious Odor Causing Breathing Problems

DEVELOPING STORY: Nashville International Airport has been evacuated due to some sort of “noxious odor.” At least one person has been taken to the hospital. A number of people immediately suffered breathing problems.

“It was a strong odor,” Kyler Robinson, an airport employee, told WKRN, saying it seemed similar to a pepper spray.

The incident shut down Concourse C due to the unidentified odor. Watch the video below and click here to follow my Rumble channel.

“The Metropolitan Nashville Fire Department conducted air quality testing and determined there are no air contaminants,” the airport said.

The FAA issued a ground stop “to facilitate the safe resumptions of operations.”

“We were in C and just got off a plane and stood around for 5 minutes waiting for my sister to get her baby stroller and then all of a sudden everyone started coughing and our eyes were burning,” a passenger told Newschannel 5.

About 150 flights in and out of the airport were delayed, according to flight tracking site Flight Aware, but it’s unclear how many were impacted by the ground stop.
