DEVELOPING STORY: Students were evacuated and parents rushed to two Pittsburgh Catholic schools that were reportedly the victims of swatting. There was a massive police presence outside Central Catholic High School and Oakland Catholic High School.
Pittsburgh Public Safety officials are asking parents and students from Central Catholic to gather at the Oakland Quad Cathedral of Learning and Oakland Catholic students and parents to come together at St. Paul Cathedral.
“Police are investigating reports of an active shooter,” Public Safety said in a tweet. “There is no evidence of that at this time.”
Television station WTAE reports that schools across the commonwealth have received computer-generated threats. One call reported that at least six students at been shot at Central Catholic. However, all students are safe.
