The Federal Bureau of Investigation says they are still trying to determine why a Muslim terrorist would take a bunch of Jewish worshippers hostage inside a Texas synagogue.
Four hostages, including a rabbi, were eventually released and their attacker was killed after a nearly 12-hour standoff at the Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville.
The terrorist had demanded the release of Aafia Siddiqui, also known as “Lady Al-Qaeda,” a convicted Islamic terrorist who had tried to kill U.S. soldiers.
FBI Special Agent in Charge Matthew DeSarno said the he would not go into details of the hostage-taker’s motivation.
“We do believe that, from engaging with the subject, he was singularly focused on one issue and it was not specifically related to the Jewish community,” he added. “We will continue to work to find motives and we will continue on that path in terms of the resolution of the incident.”
Based on the evidence at hand I’d say the motive was specifically related to the Jewish community.
A Muslim man stormed into a synagogue and took four Jews hostage — demanding that an Islamic radical terrorist released from custody.
And yet the FBI still can’t figure out a motive. It’s an honest-to-goodness head scratcher, folks.
Maybe they should call in Matlock or Columbo?
