A New York City Police detective tumbled from a helicopter — clinging to a rope that wasn’t secured — during training at the police academy in Queens Thursday afternoon, and “snapped his leg in half,” police sources told The New York Post.
“Video of the frightening fall shows the police officer grab onto a rope to slide down from the chopper around 11:20 a.m. — but pictures him plunging from what appears to be 15 or 20 feet because the rope wasn’t attached to anything,” the Post reported.
Let’s pray that the detective has a complete recovery.
