Eyewitness Says 2 Kids Among Those Shot

“The guy drove his truck through the wall of the chapel during sacrament meeting. Then when people were told to evacuate, he got out of the truck and started shooting people in the foyer. The second counselor exchanged fire with him but he might be critically injured. He shot at least 2 little kids. Shooter is dead.”

Trump: Another Attack on Christians

President Trump posted a message on Truth Social stating that the attack was targeted and said the FBI was already on the scene.

“This appears to be yet another targeted attack on Christians in the United States of America. The Trump Administration will keep the Public posted, as we always do. In the meantime, PRAY for the victims, and their families. THIS EPIDEMIC OF VIOLENCE IN OUR COUNTRY MUST END, IMMEDIATELY!” Trump wrote.

Police: 10 Shot, 1 Dead

Grand Blanc Township Police Chief William Renye said 10 people were shot and one person was killed. He also announced during an afternoon press conference that the gunman is dead.

According to Renye, shortly before 10:30 a.m. ET, the suspect, identified only as a 40-year-old man from Burton, Michigan, drove through the front doors of the LDS church. The man then allegedly got out of the vehicle and “fired several rounds at individuals within the church” with an assault rifle.

Grand Blanc Township Police Chief William Renye said, “We do believe that we will find additional victims once we have that scene secure.”

AG Pam Bondi Condemns Attack

“I am receiving briefings about what appears to be a horrific shooting and fire at an LDS church in Grand Blanc, Michigan,” Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote on X. “FBI and ATF agents are en route to the scene now. Such violence at a place of worship is heartbreaking and chilling. Please join me in praying for the victims of this terrible tragedy.”

Police said around 11:25 a.m. that the shooter is “down” and there is no threat to the public. Police have not released any information about the number of victims or the extent of their injuries.

“My prayers are with the congregation and families in Grand Blanc, Michigan. There is no more despicable act than attacking peaceful followers of God as they worship,” Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) wrote on X.
