Lawmakers plan on moving a bill to ban so-called “assault weapons,” the source said.
Democrats hold a solid majority in the House, but some pro-Second Amendment Democrats could stop the legislation in the Senate.
Any law banning rifles will not have that much of an impact on deaths. Data posted below shows that only 14 percent of mass shootings dating back to 1998 involved rifles.
The legislation has yet to be introduced, but it should not surprise Americans that the progressives are staging an attempt to take away lawfully-acquired firearms.
And heaven forbid the government sends agents door-to-door to take away our weapons.
