Leftists are using Monday’s Nashville Christian school mass shooting as an excuse to mock prayer and ridicule Tennessee’s laws on transgender surgeries for minors.
Audrey Hale, a 28-year-old woman who identifies as a man, gunned down six people, including three students at Nashville’s Covenant Christian School Monday. Hale attended the school as a child.
David Pakman, a progressive talk show host, took to Twitter to ask if the shooting occurred because the Christian school wasn’t “praying enough.”
“Very surprising that there would be a mass shooting at a Christian school, given that lack of prayer is often blamed for these horrible events,” Pakman wrote in a now-deleted tweet. “Is it possible they weren’t praying enough, or correctly, despite being a Christian school?”
Sports writer Mike Wise praised a tweet that blamed the shooter’s “outrage” on the school’s “religious indoctrination.”

“I don’t condone Audrey Hale’s actions, though I understand their outrage against an intolerant state that brainwashes children through religious indoctrination,” someone named Kat Amarco tweeted. “The reality is this human still identified as that child attending that school and carried that pain into adulthood.”
Fox News reports Wise replied to the tweet with, “This is as deep and real as it gets. Thank you.”

ABC’s Terry Moran highlighted the Volunteer State’s conservative stance on children attending drag shows and transgender surgeries for minors in his coverage of the shooting.
