The West Milford Fire Dept. said the entire home collapsed. There’s no word just yet on what caused the explosion.
Please avoid the area of Warwick Tpke between Mt. Laurel and Banker Rd while emergency services operate at a large scale scene. Please also do not call West Milford Police inquiring as to what happened. Thank you for your cooperation.
Residents may experience power outages in the area due to power being shut off. Again please refrain from calling West Milford Police to inquire about power restoration or incident inquiries. Thank you for the public’s cooperation.

Users on social media posted about hearing and feeling an explosion.
“My entire house shook…. like I jumped out of bed thinking something happened to my house,” one person posted.
“My house shook and I heard a giant bang,” one person stated.
Another wrote: “It shook my house … I pray they are okay!”
