DEVELOPING: The five former Memphis police officers fired after the death of Tyre Nichols were booked into the Shelby County Jail Thursday and charged with second-degree murder, Fox 13 reports.
The five officers, who were terminated after an internal investigation into their confrontation with Nicholas, are Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Emmitt Martin III, Desmond Mills Jr., and Justin Smith.

In addition to second-degree murder, the officers were charged with two counts of official misconduct, one count of official oppression, one count of aggravated assault, and two counts of aggravated kidnapping, according to court records.
