DEVELOPING STORY: Nearly 1 million customers are without power in Houston after powerful storms roared through the city blowing out hundreds of windows from downtown skyscrapers. Winds gusted as high as 110 mph – causing significant damage. A number of transmission lines were completely destroyed – meaning the power grid may be off line for a significant amount of time. First responders are urging citizens to stay home and off the roads. And all schools have canceled classes today. At least four people were killed. Watch videos below. This page will be updated.
