A teen boy was killed and two girls were critically injured in a shooting outside an Iowa school, according to law enforcement.
The Des Moines Police Department said there was a shooting outside of East High School Monday afternoon.
The teens were taken to the hospital and the 15-year-old boy died and two girls, 16 and 18, are in critical condition, Ahman Douglass, fire department spokesperson, told Fox News.
The high school was put on lockdown and informed the community not to go to the school. Later, the district said officials gave the “all clear” and dismissed students on time.
Police said at least two suspects were in custody and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
