Bruce Friedman announced he would be reading “pornographic” content from a book found in the district at a June 30 meeting.
Before he could begin, he was interrupted by a school board member, “I’m going to stop you right there, sir.”

Friedman, clearly flustered, tried to continue. He asked why he was stopped so soon when he was interrupted again.
“If you hush your mouth for a minute and listen, instead of talking, you may learn something.” the same school board member said.
“The problem is, sir, that these meetings are broadcast, there are people at home that are watching it on YouTube. There are people that are watching it on community television. Are you going to listen? Or are you going to run your mouth?”
Nationally-syndicated radio host Todd Starnes blasted the school board’s decision.
“If the book is too racy for grown adults to read during a public school board meeting, it has no business being in a school library,” Starnes said.
Friedman told Fox News that the censorship of his comments proved his point just as well as if he had continued reading.

Friedman went on to attack the public school system, saying they were filled with “groomers, pedophiles, and twisted sick people”.
“Our children deserve better”, he said. “I sent my son to New York … public school for kindergarten and first grade — they did considerable harm to my boy. That is why I’m here — I never shook it off. I never stopped fighting. We got him into a private school promptly after first grade, but the damage was done. It took five years, in my opinion, to put him back on the right track.”
Starnes said Friedman should be praised for exposing the covert grooming that was happening in his child’s public school library.
“That’s why parents should homeschool,” said Starnes.
UNREAL. A dad says he’s gonna read from graphic books available to children in school and gets shut down by @oneclayschools board before he even starts because it might be against the law to read from these books in front of children.
