VIDEO: NYC Mayor Bulldozes 100 Confiscated Dirt Bikes
New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) ordered the public destruction of illegal motorcycles, ATVs, and dirt bikes confiscated by the NYPD.
Adams waved a checkered flag before a bulldozer smashed the vehicles in a video posted by Reuters.
“As we stand in the shadow of the Freedom Tower, we are freeing ourselves of these destructive pieces of machinery that are on our streets,” Adams told attendees. “They will be crushed today so that they can never terrorize our city again.”

Nearly 100 dirt bikes and all-terrain vehicles confiscated by the NYPD were bulldozed Tuesday in New York City’s Brooklyn borough. Mayor Eric Adams called the vehicles, which are illegal on the city’s streets, “extremely dangerous.” pic.twitter.com/NgZaXk2ZkH— CBS News (@CBSNews) June 22, 2022
“Since January the NYPD has seized over 2000 of these vehicles citywide. As the mayor said, that’s nearly over 80 percent more than we took by this time last year,” New York Police Department Commissioner Keechant Sewell said in a statement.
