Video obtained by Newsmax shows footage leading up the moment at least 25 police recruits were injured after a driver plowed over them in the street.

The group of roughly 75 recruits were on a training run just outside of Los Angeles when a driver sped into them Wednesday morning.

BREAKING: Driver Plows Into Police Recruits, At Least 22 Injured
Among the injuries reported from the incident were head trauma, loss of limb, and broken bones.
Newsmax reports the 22-year-old driver was sober at the time of the crash and detained at the scene.
National radio host Todd Starnes questioned whether the event was politically motivated in a Twitter post.
