80 Percent of Black Americans Want More Police on Streets

Black Americans are more likely to want an increase of police in their neighborhoods rather than a decease despite calls to defund and disband police departments by anarchists at violent protests popping up in cities across the U.S., according to a recent poll.

JOE BIDEN HAD INTERVIEW AND IT DID NOT GO WELL

Gallup’s poll, which was conducted last month, found that 61 percent of blacks polled wanted the same amount of police and an additional 20 percent sought more, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

The poll seems to support the claim that many of these anti-police protests are comprised of white anarchists trying to use the social justice push for political cover. These protest detractors say Democrats in office have little interest in the black communities and are simply using the unrest as their lastest, best chance to remove President Trump from office.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, on Tuesday held a hearing on Antifa and their alleged growing influence over there protests taking place across the U.S. He called these violent protests nothing short of “terror attack” that drown out the voices of sincere protesters.

“We’re seeing our country torn apart. Violent anarchists and Marxists are exploiting protests to transform them into riots and direct assaults on the lives and safety of their fellow Americans,” the Texas Republican said.

A police officer from the 73rd Precinct in Brooklyn, N.Y., told ToddStarnes.com that clergy members have visited the police station to pray with police and request additional police in the neighborhood.

The Gallup poll showed that only 19 percent said they would approve fewer police officers.

Democrat leaders, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., have called for dramatic cuts to the police force in favor of freeing up funds for other social programs to help the minority community.

But Ocasio-Cortez has been accused of being out of touch with little concern or knowledge about the realities on the streets in her own district.
