The following is a transcript of Todd’s national radio commentary – heard daily on hundreds of radio stations around the country.

Hello Americans. I’m Todd Starnes with news and commentary next.

Nicole Raviv is the official singer of the National Anthem for the New York Islanders.

The other day she had taken up her appointed spot on the ice and began singing the Star-Spangled Banner.

But by the time she got to the dawn’s early light something magical happened.

The entire arena erupted in song.

Nicole lowered her microphone and the giant choir of hockey fans from Brooklyn and Massapequa through the rockets red glare and bombs bursting in air.

Writing on Twitter – that her heart was full – commending the best backup singers in the National Hockey League.

For the past year we’ve told by the media and the Democrats that we are a divided nation. That we should be ashamed of our heritage. Who we are.

But the other night Nicole Raviv and the New York Islanders reminded us that no matter our skin color or how much money we have in the bank we are still Americans – one nation, under God.
