Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been given the cold shoulder by the Biden Administration and congressional Democrats. Neither the president nor the vice president were on hand to greet the Israeli prime minister when his plane landed in Washington.
And NBC News reports that Vice President Harris will forego her duties as president of the Senate. She will not preside over or attend Netanyahu’s joint address to Congress.
Senator Patty Murray, a Democrat from Washington State, was next in line. But she, too, took a pass.
And a number of Democrat lawmakers say they will boycott today’s address.
“Kamala Harris didn’t greet Prime Minister Netanyahu yesterday when he landed. -She’ll skip his joint address to Congress. -And other Democrat senators are planning to skip it as well. Republicans stand with Israel. The Left doesn’t,” said Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH).
The Democrat party is not even trying to hide their hatred of the Jewish people. They despise the nation of Israel – our most cherished and important ally.
“It is outrageous to me and inexcusable that Kamala Harris is boycotting this joint session,” Speaker Mike Johnson said. “Kamala Harris will abandon her seat. She will not be there because she refuses to attend. She needs to be held accountable for that. The idea that [Democrats] are making political calculations when our ally is in such dire straits, fighting for its very survival… is unconscionable to us.”
At this moment Hamas holds Americans and Israelis as hostages – taken during the October 7th terrorist attack. We should be standing in solidarity with our ally.
Instead, Biden and his anti-Semitic administration have literally turned their backs on Israel and her prime minister – on American soil.
Let’s hope Jewish Democrats remember that gross offense on Election Day and vote accordingly.
