Joe Biden, the Democrat nominee for president, issued a statement on Monday calling for police in Kenosha, Wis., to be held accountable after the shooting of a Black man that was caught on video after he appeared to refuse police officers’ demands.
CROWD CHEERS AS THUG THROWS BRICK AT POLICE OFFICER
Jacob Blake, 29, was seriously injured after being shot multiple times while his attorney said his three children sat in the back of the car. Violent protests erupted in the city seizing on the shooting as the latest example of alleged police brutality.
Politico reports that prosecutors charged Blake on July 6 with third-degree sexual assault, trespassing and disorderly conduct in connection with domestic abuse. An arrest warrant was issued for Blake the following day.

Biden said in a statement that there needs to be an “immediate, full and transparent investigation and the officers must be held accountable.”
He continued, “These shots pierce the soul of our nation. Jill and I pray for Jacob’s recovery and for his children. Equal justice has not been real for Black Americans and so many others. We are at an inflection point. We must dismantle systemic racism. It is the urgent task before us.”
Todd Starnes, the host of the “Todd Starnes Show,” called Biden’s statement remarkable because there is so little known about the incident except for the fact that Blake resisted arrest and tried to get back into an SUV despite police commands.
“Joe Biden doesn’t have all the facts,” Starnes said. “But it doesn’t matter. The facts don’t matter.”
DAVID BOSSIE: DEMS ARE BLIND BY THEIR HATRED FOR TRUMP
Starnes said Democrats see the protests as their last, best chance to remove Trump from office and will continue to stoke violence up until the November election, no matter how many cities are ruined in the process.
“You watch what’s going to happen,” he said. “Tonight, cities across the country are going to go up in smoke because of what Joe Biden just did.”
Starnes said Gov. Tony Evers, the Wisconsin Democrat, “poured gasoline on the fire” when he condemned the officers involved in the shooting during its preliminary investigation. Evers, said the details were not immediately clear, but what is clear is that Blake is “not the first Black man or person to have been shot or injured or mercilessly killed at the hands of individuals in law enforcement in our state or our country.”
Starnes said, “You know what, governor? Why don’t you just shut up until you get all of the facts.”
