The Department of Homeland Security is instituting a de facto “Ministry of Truth.”
“DHS is standing up a new Disinformation Governance Board to coordinate countering misinformation related to homeland security, focused specifically on irregular migration and Russia,” Politico reports.
Nina Jankowicz will head the board as executive director.
She previously was a disinformation fellow at the Wilson Center, advised the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry as part of the Fulbright Public Policy Fellowship and oversaw Russia and Belarus programs at the National Democratic Institute, Politico reports.
Human Events writer Jack Posobiec says Ms. Jankowicz “once claimed militarized Trump supporters would show up to the polls with weapons to intimidate voters.”
Ms. Jankowicz says her new job will primarily focus on “protecting free speech, privacy, civil rights, & civil liberties.”
In other words, conservatives can expect for their free speech, privacy and civil liberties to be curtailed.

Here's my official portrait to grab your attention. Now that I've got it: a HUGE focus of our work, and indeed, one of the key reasons the Board was established, is to maintain the Dept's committment to protecting free speech, privacy, civil rights, & civil liberties. 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/C4xiEGfhDt
