TODD: [00:37:53] Let’s get let’s go to Gainesville, Georgia. Karen, listening to us on WDUN. And Karen, what’s going on?

CALLER: [00:38:12] Hey, Todd, so I thought it was so interesting that you were talking about this, because my husband and I have two young boys and, you know, we’re just trying to raise them like the Bible says and, you know, stand up for what we think is right. So I was ordering one of them something. I don’t know if I can say the company name here on the program.

TODD: [00:38:34] Oh, go ahead and say it is just between you. Just between you.

CALLER: [00:38:38] All right. Well, I was ordering something from Pottery Barn for my kid, a book bag. And when I got to pay when I went to pay, a notification popped up asking me how much I wanted to give to a sign that supports the mental health of LGBTQ and other children, like, I guess, a counseling service for these children. And I was telling Grace, you know, it had the increments you could add to your total. But then in order to click off of that, you know, the font was super small, so it didn’t look like you had an option to say, no, I don’t want to donate towards this. And, you know, I was I was telling my husband, I said, I know it’s a small amount of money that we would have been giving, you know, to this organization. But I felt like I’ve got to start putting our money where our mouth is at some point, you know, even if it’s just thirty dollars a year. But I just couldn’t believe, you know, it looked like I didn’t have an option other than to give to this.

TODD: [00:39:35] And Karen, if you’re a business and you want to support a cause, I’ve got no problem with that. I’ve got no beef with that. But when you design the promotion of it, like you just described, as if you don’t have a choice, that’s when I step in and I’m like, well, wait a second, what’s really going on here? So, again, I have no problem with, you know, with these left wing companies wanting to do that kind of thing.

But my issue is when, you know, people are forced to do it and when when NPR and PBS are shoving an agenda down the throats of of American children and our tax dollars are being used to accomplish that, that’s what I’ve got a problem. I’ve got a big problem with it.

Karen, thank you for the call and thank you for listening to WDUN, a great radio station there in the North Georgia mountains. By the way, folks, we have a great show coming up. Congressman Andy Biggs is going to be here, Allen West, who announced over the weekend he is running for governor of Texas, where he is going to join us. Also, our good friend, Jeffrey Lord is going to drop by as well. When we come back, I want to address this outrageous crime story, folks. The country is turning into a war zone. And what did you think was going to happen? What did you think was going to happen to defund the police and all you-know-what breaks loose? All right. Stick around, everybody. Got to take a break. This is the Todd Starnes Radio Show.
