A transgender Netflix star accused Delta Airlines of a committing a human rights violation after he was “misgendered” by gate agents.
Tommy Dorfman, a man who identifies as a woman, posted video of his encounter with the Delta agents on his TikTok page. Watch the video below and click here to get Todd’s newsletter for breaking news and conservative news coverage.
“When you try to advocate for yourself at @delta and are met with even more transphobia and threats of being arrested at Laguardia,” he wrote on TikTok. “Tristan, the employee, said he was fine with me posting this. Didn’t realize it was condescending to flag a human rights violation after another employee misgendered me incessantly.”
Dorfman, who starred in “13 Reasons Why,” accused one of the Delta employees of saying “he” instead of “she.”
The video clearly showed the overworked Delta staffers handling the disgruntled passenger with professionalism and patience.
“You’re being condescending,” the employee said to Dorfman. “And if you want to continue, I’ll have Port Authority escort you out the building right this moment if you want to play that game with me. Which if you’d like to continue three days before Christmas, I really don’t mind.”
If Dorfman had hoped his video would elicit support, he was sadly mistaken. Hundreds of people blasted the pronoun-confused actor on his TikTok account.
