The Federal Aviation Administration is recruiting staffers who suffer from severe intellectual disabilities and psychiatric problems.
It’s part of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s efforts to promote diversity, equity and inclusion.
“Because diversity is so critical, FAA actively supports and engages in a variety of associations, programs, coalitions and initiatives to support and accommodate employees from diverse communities and backgrounds. Our people are our strength, and we take great care in investing in and valuing them as such,” the FAA states.
The FAA says the are hiring people who are blind, deaf, missing body parts or suffer from severe intellectual disabilities. They also have openings for completely paralyzed individuals and little people.
“Targeted disabilities are those disabilities that the Federal government, as a matter of policy, has identified for special emphasis in recruitment and hiring,” the FAA’s website states. “They include hearing, vision, missing extremities, partial paralysis, complete paralysis, epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability and dwarfism.”
The initiative is part of the FAA’s “Diversity and Inclusion” hiring plan, which claims “diversity is integral to achieving FAA’s mission of ensuring safe and efficient travel across our nation and beyond,” the New York Post reported.
Because what better person to make sure planes don’t collide over New York City than a blind non-binary epileptic with a speech impediment.
“Do you want to fly in an airplane where they prioritized DEI hiring over your safety?,” tech billionaire Elon Musk wrote on X last week. “That is actually happening.”
There have been significant concerns among the nation’s air travelers over the people who are building airplanes and the people who are tasked with flying the friendly skies.
Just recently a portion of a brand new Boeing 737 blew off in mid-flight. Boeing has been one of the leading proponents of diversity hires.
But in today’s woke world – skill and ability don’t matter.
So there’s a good chance the next time you fly to grandma’s house, the guy in the air traffic control tower could be a psychopathic dwarf with no arms.
