A police officer dropped by McDonalds’ in Junction City, Kansas for a cup of coffee. But what he received was an ugly insult.
One of the workers had written the words, “F***ing Pig” on the officer’s receipt.
McDonald’s should’ve publicly shamed the employee who wrote the profane slur and then ushered that person to the unemployment line. Instead the company simply offered the police officer, who also happens to be a military veteran, a “free lunch.”

Herington Police Chief Brian Hornaday was furious that one of his officers had been treated with such disrespect. You’d expect this kind of behavior from a Starbucks barista, but under the Golden Arches?
“A Big Mac and large fries doesn’t make up for it,” the chief wrote in a Facebook post. “This is not only bad for McDonald’s, but is also a black eye for Junction City.”
The chief said he understands that the incident was likely the act of one person and not a representation of the company, but this situation needs to be remedied.
Meanwhile, I prefer to buy my coffee from a place that loves the military and law enforcement. That’s why I drink Croatan Coffee – a family-owned roaster. Click here to check out their coffee brews!
Let’s just hope McDonald’s is not becoming the new Starbucks.
