One of the most patriotic moments in Republican National Convention came when a group of fraternity brothers from the University of North Carolina entered the arena with American flags. Watch above.
The young men, members of Alpha Epsilon Pi, earned national acclaim when they rushed to protect an American flag from being desecrated.
The frat boys were attacked by a pro-Hamas mob but they held their ground. The mob pelted them with rocks and bottles, but they stood tall.
The young men, decked out in blue blazers and khaki pants were honored during a segment highlighting “every day Americans.”
“When a mob tried to take down the American flag on our campus, we knew we couldn’t let that happen. We stood guard. We held it up and we did not let it fall. It was all about respect, not just for the cloth, but for everything that the flag stands for. Too many people have sacrificed everything for it. The least we can do was keep it fly. And tonight we are proud to honor our flag again.”
Thousands of patriots inside the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee roared with approval and as the young men paraded off the convention floor they were given a thunderous standing ovation.
As I wrote in “Twilight’s Last Gleaming: Can America Be Saved?” it’s because of young men like the fraternity brothers at UNC-Chapel Hill that I still have hope in America. Click here to read my book.
