It’s the image taken by a New York Times reporter – the president surrounded by Secret Service agents, fist in the air, blood streaming down his face with an American flag in the background.
Facebook also blocked the photo on a number of pages. And users were warned not to share false information.
USA Today actually conducted a fact-check on the image and claimed it was doctored.
And Google has implemented a search ban on the former president – this according to Elon Musk. A search for “president Donald” brings up Donald Duck and Don Regan. But not Donald Trump. Google has also blocked searches related to the assassination attempt.
Facebook later confessed they had “made a mistake” in blocking the assassination attempt photos.
“Yes, this was an error. This fact check was initially applied to a doctored photo showing the secret service agents smiling, and in some cases our systems incorrectly applied that fact check to the real photo. This has been fixed and we apologize for the mistake,” Dani Lever, a spokesperson for Facebook’s parent company, Meta, said in a post.
It certainly appears that Big Tech waging Election Interference. Pay attention, America.
