DEVELOPING STORY: At least 20 people were shot and at least four people were killed at a high school homecoming party in Leland, a small town in the Mississippi Delta. State Sen. Derrick Simmons (D-MS) told television station WAPT. The senator said at least four people had been airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center. The shooting is believed to have happened just after midnight off campus. Police have refused to release any information about the incident. They have also refused to provide any information on whether a suspect is in custody. Video posted on social media shows a horrifying scene of bodies and blood scattered on a street. One eyewitness recounted, “So many bodies on the ground in Leland.
